Accommodations

Housing will be provided at the Illini Towers (www.illinitower.net), centrally located on the University of Illinois campus. Scholars will live in private two bedroom serviced suites that each includes a separate sitting area, a small kitchenette with refrigerator and stove (no cooking utensils are provided), and a single (shared) bath. Laundry facilities, full-service on-site optional dining, a gym, a lounge area with TV and other amenities are included. Illini Towers maintains its own Wi-Fi network, but those wishing to use the campus wide Wi-Fi can do so for a small additional fee. The cost for a single room in a shared suite is approximately $50/night/person. Participants wishing to bring family members can be accommodated, and parking is available for a fee. More information is available on the Illini Towers website, above. Each NEH Summer Scholar receives a stipend of $3,300 which it is expected will defray all costs of participation.
