Abstract:

Pashupatinath, Nepal, is the biggest sacred ground for Hindus. As the ceremony near the Bagmati the holy river, that crosses Pashupatinath, the rite of fire that sends the dead to the heavens is performed daily. As the fire and ash rise up from the cremation site, children swim in the river, Avecs whisper words of love, and sari-clad women ask for children in their prayers.--Korean Film Guide 2008
