Abstract:

A dissatisfied husband and his devoted wife, a married couple about to have a baby, and a younger couple about to get married: Singapore Dreaming follows these six lives as they struggle with their desires and expectations, set against the twin backdrops of global capitalism and the elaborate rituals of a traditional Taoist funeral.
