Abstract:

Based on the novel Luo niao by Qi Chang. Searching for love abroad, two very different Chinese women, one a dancer and the other a doctor, journey west to a new life in Canada. Although initially strangers to one another, both women similarly discover the uncertainties of relationships when the men in their lives reveal unsettling secrets. A film festival favorite, this honest, emotionally charged story of the immigrant experience features stellar performances and a powerful conclusion. With Diana Peng, Chirley Cui, Bo Z.
