Abstract:

Seven-year-old Wang follows his father into town while he sells vegetables. One day, Wang sees the performance of a group of Peking opera students. He jumps on stage and asks to join the troupe, and they accept him. Wang is given the role of a clown in the opera San Cha Kou. Wang works hard and becomes well-liked by the other performers as they prepare for opening night in Wang's hometown. Suitable for all ages.
