Abstract:

A broad-ranging exploration of the santur (hammer dulcimer) by one of the most distinguished voices in Iranian traditional music. The youngest member of The Kamkars, a world-renowned Kurdish ensemble, Ardavan Kamkar reinvents the santur repertoire, combining unprecedented technical daring with intricate elaborations of Persian classical and folk motifs.
