Abstract:

"This program explores new perspectives on early Chinese culture and art that have resulted from recent archaeological discoveries. The works included in The Golden Age of Chinese Archaeology: Celebrated Discoveries from the People's Republic of China provide an opportunity to study the achievements of Chinese civilization from the neolithic period into the Five Dynasties (5000 BCE to 960 CE). This program is also available online. This program may also be used with the color slide program The Chinese Past and the videocassette Beyond the Yellow River."
