Abstract:

Based on the Exhibition of Archaeological Finds of The People's Republic of China, objects from the Neolithic period through the Yüan dynasty illustrate developments in Chinese cultural history. Traditional music and poetry and a discussion of the philosophies of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism are also included in the program. A color poster map of China illustrates major archaeological sites and chronicles the sequence of dynasties.
