Abstract:

"Follow the trail of Xuan Zang, the seventh-century monk, scholar, diarist and poet who traveled the Silk road in search of the original scriptures of the Buddha Sutras. On this visual journey to Bodhgaya, where the Buddha achieved enlightenment, the Caves of a Thousand Buddhas at Dunhuang are explored, sacred art treasures rescued from the desert sands are viewed, and the monastery where Xuan Zang's ashes are preserved is visited."
