Abstract:

"This film covers the history of 'the China question' in the United Nations, ending with the People's Republic of China being seated in the General Assembly on 15 November 1971. Included are the Soviet walkout from the Security Council to protest the continued Nationalist presence, the UN intervention in Korea, and the appearance in 1950 of General Wu of the People's Republic of China. The film then traces the international reasons for the China votes during the 20 years that followed. Available in English."
