Abstract:

"This film was produced in 1983 by Deben Bhattacharya, the famed Indian folklorist, and leads us from Tai Chi to musical instrument factories and various performances by solo and ensemble groups of musicians. It shows how numerous instruments are made and played, particularly those with silk strings."
