"Ashirwad - "blessings" in the Hindi language - is a group of Calcutta, India, craftswomen from Hindu, Muslim and Christian families. The ornaments, mobiles, wall hangings and kites these women make are sold through alternative trading organizations including SELFHELP Crafts of the World, providing income for food, shelter and children's education."
