Plot summary: A young Bengali couple marries and considers starting a family. After talking to others, they discuss it together and decide to wait a while. "Amra Dujon should be of interest to several audiences: to students of South Asian studies; in course dealing with population and social change--with supplementary materials on contraceptive social marketing programs; and perhaps for those interested in South Asian film arts as well. It is the most compelling example of the use of traditional film formulas to carry the population planning message that I have seen so far."--Hugh S.
