Abstract:

"Nature, literature, history, and daily life are the inspirations for the six sumptuous Japanese folding screens highlighted in this teaching packet. Students will learn how to 'read' a Japanese screen, and will be introduced to this unique art form's history, functions, and production. GRADES 7-12+.
