Abstract:

"An intimate look at Japan's changing cultural climate as old world customs collide with modern society. The merging of the old and the new is closely examined as viewers are introduced to an atypical family living in 'small town' Japan. Interviews with the extended family of a Japanese man who married an American describe the adjustment and acceptance of the international two-career marriage which sets them apart."
