Architect Arata Isozaki and others comment on his work and philosophy while viewing the architectural projects he has designed. Shows the blend of ancient and modern, of Japanese and foreign elements in his designs.

Focuses on the architect's beginnings in the late 1950's through the 1970's, twenty very productive years. At the end of this period, Isozaki receives his first foreign commission, the Museum of contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
