Families of the World: Families of South Korea (2000)

Like the other videos in the Families of the World series, Families of South Korea is composed of two 15-minute segments, one detailing the family life of a rural child and the another the life of an urban child. This video is the most recent addition to the series and makes the most mention of political issues.

Homes Apart (1991)
Grades: 9-12
Homes Apart deals with the human consequences of the Korean split, particularly the millions of families forever separated by the divide. Focusing on one man's attempt to reunite with his sister in North Korea, the film reveals the extent to which this tragedy has effected the nation, both personally and politically. Also available on film.

Tune in Korea (1999-2001)
Grades: 6-9, 9-12
Tune in Korea uses actual television footage, arranged in a very comprehensive manner, to teach young people basic information about Korea. Programs include:

1. Geography and Society features real students pretending to create a video project on Korea, this 1-hour video focuses on Korea's history, language, family life, customs, education, and belief systems.
2. Legacy and Transformation is intended for older students and focuses on Korea's past and present.
