The Association of Asian Studies has invited the Asian Educational Media Service (AEMS), an outreach arm of the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, to organize this year’s film screenings at its annual meeting in Hawaii. AAS-ICAS Film Expo 2011: Seeing Asia Eye To Eye will take place March 31-April 2, 2011 in the Hawaii Convention Center’s ‘Emalani Theater, Room 320. A series of shorter films, many suitable for classroom use, will be screened on Saturday between 9 am-2:30 pm. The screenings are free and open to the public. This program is supported by the Henry Luce Foundation.
